Lead-to-enrollment rate (LTE%)
The percentage of leads that eventually become enrolled students.
Definition
LTE% is enrollments divided by leads, expressed as a percentage. It measures funnel quality end to end: of everyone who raised a hand, how many actually started?
LTE% is most meaningful when computed per channel, per program, and per cohort. A blended institutional LTE% hides the fact that some sources convert at multiples of others.
Why it matters
Volume metrics flatter channels that produce cheap, low-intent inquiries. LTE% is the corrective: it reveals which sources produce students rather than just leads.
How Pennant treats it
Pennant shows LTE% across the funnel — overall, by channel, by program — and in cohort view tracks the eventual LTE% of leads acquired in any window, with twelve-week curves and maturity projections.
